New Route:
Length: 17 km
Starts from the Kamal Amer Axis, passing through Al-Zahraa Street towards Al-Mounib, and ends at the Middle Ring Road

Number of Affected Buildings:
Around 200 properties are threatened with demolition
Some MPs indicated that the removal of “dozens of houses” could be avoided
Marks have been placed on 3 houses belonging to a resident’s family, as well as the house of his wife’s family

Census Timing:
Census began within the 24 hours before May 12, 2025
Survey Authority committees visited some residents to take measurements on Saturday, May 10, 2025

Main Issue:
The enumeration and numbering of houses in Al-Omraneyah has begun in preparation for demolition without official notification, fair compensation, or clear alternative housing being offered
This action has caused anxiety and fear of forced eviction among residents

Residents believe this conflicts with the constitution and the law, which stipulate:

• Expropriation only for public benefit

• Fair compensation paid in advance

Name: Extension of El-Team Kamal Amer Axis

Description:
A new project extending from Kamal Amer Axis to the Middle Ring Road
Classified as a public benefit project according to state classifications

Responsible Entities:

• Committees from the Egyptian Survey Authority (Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation): conducting enumeration and numbering

• Al-Omraneyah district officials: attended on-site and confirmed the decision was issued by the district

Decisions are based on:

• Previous decisions from the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities

• Recommendations from the Major General Engineer, Head of the Central Agency for Reconstruction

• The implementing authorities oversee execution

Additional Notes:

• Central Security Forces vehicles were deployed to disperse peaceful gatherings of residents
