In a shocking scene during the early hours of Tuesday, 6 May 2025<\/strong>, residents of Al-Firdous Village, west of Port Said, were confronted by a large-scale security operation involving armored vehicles and Central Security trucks from the Port Said, Suez, and Ismailia Security Directorates. These forces were deployed to secure demolition equipment \u2014 including loaders and bulldozers \u2014 which began dismantling administrative buildings and service facilities in the village.<\/p>\n

Amid residents\u2019 pleas, Major General Tamer El-Samry<\/strong>, Port Said\u2019s Director of Security and head of the campaign, announced a 72-hour grace period<\/strong> to vacate residential units before demolitions would commence. However, according to residents\u2019 testimonies, the campaign began demolishing several privately-owned buildings \u2014 including those permanently inhabited \u2014 on the morning of Wednesday, 7 May<\/strong>, without waiting for the grace period to end.<\/p>\n
